Former Bauchi Govt Director Killed In Azare Auto Crash

A retired assistant director, Tukur Mohammed in Bauchi, was on Saturday morning killed on the Azare-Bulkachuwa road when he was knocked down by an oncoming vehicle.

In a statement to confirm the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in charge of the Bauchi State Police Command, DSP Haruna Mohammed, the late Mohammed, 61, parked his Chevrolet car by the roadside and was trying to open the boot of his car when he was hit by a man in a Honda car.

According to the statement, the deceased was knocked down by one Maigari Mohammed, 52, and a staff member of the Ministry of Interior, Abuja.

As a result, victim died on the spot while the Honda driver sustained injury,” the police spokesman stated.

DSP Mohammed further stated that a police patrol team attached to Azare division visited the scene of the accident and rushed casualties to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Azare for medical attention and postmortem examination.

Tukur worked with the Bauchi State Ministry of Animal Resources.
