Folio Group, Daily Times Publisher, salutes Buhari @ 75

Ahead of his 75th birthday on Sunday, the Chairman of Folio Group of Communications Ltd, publisher of The Daily Times, Mr Fidelis Anosike and the entire management and staff of the group have felicitated with President Muhammadu Buhari on the historic occasion.
In a statement personally signed by Anosike on Friday night, The Daily Times publisher said Buhari has distinguished himself as a patriot, national leader and hero.
The statement reads in part: “Mr President, you have over the years left no one in doubt that you are transparent, trustworthy and ready to reposition the fortune of this nation and take her to a greater height.
“In the last two and a half years when you assumed the leadership of the country, you have proved that you are a man of honour and vision and a father figure of the nation.
“It is instructive to note that the pariah status in which Nigeria was tagged in the recent past was erased during your tenure and the country readmitted into the comity of nations and reckoned with now as being responsible.
“This you have been able to do through your fight against corruption which has enhanced the country’s rating on the corruption index, where Nigeria was removed from anti-corruption watch.”
On the fight against insurgency, Anosike stated that the military under the President’s command has been able to recover the lost territories and pushed back the insurgents who are unable to launch massive attacks as they were doing before Buhari assumed leadership as the Commander -in- Chief of the Armed Forces.
“It is gratifying to note that you have remained as an advocate of a united and indivisible country and taken the sail off the wind of those bent on disintegrating Nigeria.
“Truly, President Muhammadu Buhari is ‘for everyone and for no one’.
“As you clock 75 on Sunday, Your Excellency, we wish you more wisdom, strength and ability to lead this nation out of the current socio-political and economic quagmire,” Anosike added.
