Fleeing man shot dead 1 year after boundary dispute between Amagba, Okoma

Barely 1 year and some months after the boundary dispute between Amagba and Okoma crisis claimed several lives and property worth millions of naira destroyed, another member of executive officers in charge of land administration in Amagba community who returned to the community on November 7th 2024 has reportedly been murdered in his apartment.

Recall that long running battle between the two communities over boundary dispute has claimed unconfirmed number of lives while Amagba community was said to have suffered more casualties from the crisis as almost all the executive officers in charge of land administration have been murdered in the crisis.

However, 2 fleeing executive members namely Charles Iyobosa Godwin and Eghosa Monday are said to be the only surviving members of the executive officers of Amagba community still being hunted down by members of the neighbouring Okoma as it was later gathered that they are well aware of the marked borderline along the boundary between the two warring communities.

The crisis between Okoma and Amagba communities which began on February 3rd 2023 escalated beyond control as dangerous weapons including firearms were freely deployed by the two communities as casualties on both sides grew as many others including Charles Iyobosa Godwin and his deputy in command Eghosa Monday were inflicted with life-threading injuries.

On November 7th 2024 barely 2days after Eghosa Monday returned to the community, tragedy again struck in Amagba community following his return from exile a year and some months after the crisis as armed thugs reportedly stormed his apartment in Amagba community killing him in cold blood, it was confirmed.

His attackers were said to gained access to his apartment after scaling a walled-fence as it was gathered that they immediately accosted him in his living room where he was shot severally in his chest.

Meanwhile, his killers were said to have also gone to Charles Iyobosa Goodwin’s house where several gunshots were fired into the atmosphere as it was however gathered that the said Charles Iyobosa Godwin and his family were seeking refuge at an undisclosed location after narrowly escaping death in crisis of February 3rd 2023.

There are strong indications, according to Information gathered that Eghosa Monday’s killers are still desperately after Charles Iyobosa Godwin as the only executive member of the community with the authentic masterplan of the actual borderline between the boundary between Amagba and its neighbours.
