Five Die in Delta Auto Crash
Delta State Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission, (FRSC),Mr.RindomKumven,has confirmed that five passengers, have been burnt to death in an auto crash at Arade along Ogwashiuku-Kwale –Ughelli road.
Kumven said on Sunday, that the driver of a private car involved in the crash, lost one of his tyres through over-speeding before crashing through the median into a passenger vehiclecoming from the same direction last Saturday.
The two vehicles were coming fromOzoro and heading towards Kwale, he explained.
Eye witnesses said that all efforts by the villagers and other motorists to pull out the trapped passengers proved abortive as the vehicles went up in flames.However, two of the victims saved and rushed to an undisclosed hospital.
Kumven, however, warned motorists to obey traffic rules at all time and avoid overspeeding.
