First Bank to Enhance Business Sustainability

First bank has restated its commitment towards enhancing economic growth through sustainable businesses.
According to the MD/CEO, First Bank of Nigeria Limited and Subsidiaries, Dr. Adesola Adeduntan, First bank’s desire is to see strategic and empowerment interventions culminate in equipping Nigerian businesses with innovative and workable ideas to run their businesses sustainably.
He stated that “as a nation builder and key enabler of sustainable economic growth, we would always strive to provide a unique value proposition that will drive higher levels of sustainability and business continuity.”
In line with this, the bank’s Managing Director, Dr. Adesola Adeduntan will be participating in the C-suite forum on” Exploring Sustainability and Innovation Opportunities in Turbulent Environments.” at the CEO Roundtable, hosted by the Bank through the First Bank Sustainability Centre.
The event is scheduled to convene captains of industry and key influencers and serve as an ideation platform where business leaders engage with experts on discussions related to socio-economic issues. The forum will also engage participants on exploring sustainable and innovative solutions in a volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA) context and is expected to unlock the confusion and challenges around sustainability, innovation whilst providing insights into cost effectiveness to attain business optimization. The Forum will provide for participants the opportunity for industry-to-industry and business-to-business collaboration.
The CEO Roundtable is expected help spur innovative thinking and creative ideas that will drive systemic and sustainable business solutions. The forum will debate issues around best leadership strategies and practices that will enable an organization survive, grow and compete favorably in emerging markets. Also, the forum will explore strategies and practices involved in workforce optimization.
Other CEOs expected to be in attendance at the forum include Mr. Tonye Cole, Co-founder and Executive Director, Sahara Group; Mr. Mauricio Alarcon – MD/CEO Nestle Nigeria Plc; Mr. Oscar Onyema – CEO, Nigeria Stock Exchange, among others.
