Firm plans summit for students

Swift think Limited, the organizers of The Edge Series Student Summit ( Tess) is set to organize the third edition of the programme which is tagged ‘ What are you saying’ which is aimed at preparing young Nigerian Students for the real world, the programme will hold at the Muson Centre, Onikan on the 29th of July 2016.

Tess is designed to enable the Nigerian youth gain leverage in a highly competitive environment through effective communications for negotiations, sales and marketing. It also intends to help participants find a voice of their own, sharpen their presentation skills at all levels, teach relationship management and business etiquette rules, while providing valuable head start for new businesses. This year’s programme will be a conscious effort to consolidate small businesses, promote self – reliance and economic empowerment.

According to the CEO of Swiftthink Limited Ayoola Jolayemi speaking on the choice of speakers and panelists chosen for the forthcoming programme, he said ‘ Our choice of speakers and panelists is informed by the need to share practical, applicable and sustainable knowledge to every participant both physically at the venue and online via social media and Web streaming, they are drawn from all sectors of the economy to give a very well rounded scope to our very diverse mix of participants.’ he said

In his words, Jolayemi said there will be a reward and support system tagged as ‘the edge business startup challenge’ which is meant to empower the businesses of five winners with a start – up kit valued at 3million naira each.

Invited guests and panelists for the event include; Lagos State commissioner for youth and social development, Pharm (Mrs.) Uzamat Akinbile – Yusuf, public affairs officer, United state consulate general Lagos, Mr. Frank Sellin, Gina London, Chude Jideonwo, Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, Olori Ajayi amongst others. Organizations supporting the Edge business startup challenge includes Lenovo, The Lagos State Government, MTN Nigeria, and Microsoft among others
