Fire razes Zamfara nursing school

Fire outbreak has destroyed properties worth millions of naira at the Zamfara state School of Nursing and Midwifery, Gusau. The outbreak which occurred around 2am on Sunday razed administrative block of the institution.

An eyewitness disclosed that the incident had taken the state fire service hours before putting the fire off.

According to eyewitness, administrative block building fully furnished offices of the principal officers of the School.

Speaking after the incident, the Executive Director of the School, Alhaji Tukur Shehu lamented over the outbreak of fire, and added that the cause of the incident was yet to be known.

Shehu explained that the management of the school has constituted a committee to ascertain the level of damage and properties that was lost to the fire.

Also, Permanent Secretary, state ministry of health, Dr. Habibu Yalwa has since visited the scene of the fire outbreak where he expressed shocked and prayed for more protection.
