FG to convert 10,000 commercial vehicles to CNG

The Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PC NGI)The federal government said, it is converting 10,000 commercial vehicles in Abuja and Lagos, within a span of just 10 weeks.

This bold move, was contained in a statement posted by the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas Initiative (PCNGI) on its 10 for 10 Campaign.

The PCNGI on its X account on Friday said, it will see it running from Thursday, January 16th, to March 31st, 2025, signifies a major step towards cleaner and more sustainable transportation in Nigeria.

According to the agency, a dedicated team of field agents has already begun the sign-up process for commercial vehicles in Abuja, with Lagos sign-ups set to commence next week.

This campaign, it said, offers a unique opportunity for vehicle owners to benefit from free CNG conversions, promising significant reductions in fuel costs, improved air quality, and a smarter, more efficient commuting experience.
