Federal High Court Goes on Vacation

The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Justice Abdulahi Abdukafarati has released time table for the on coming annual vacation, 2018 for the Federal High Court nationwide.

Pursuant to the Provisions of order 46,rule 4(d) of the Federal High Court (civil) Procedure rules 2009,the Federal High Court will proceed on its annual vacation for the year 2018 from Monday 9th of July to Friday 17th September, 2018.

The court resumes on Monday 17th of September, 2018. During the vacation only core stations will usually remain functional and the litigating Public will be at liberty to approach any of the functional courts.

The Abuja division will cater for cases from the Federal Capital Territory, North Central, North West, and North Eastern parts of the country.

The Lagos Division will cater for Western parts of the country while,PortHarcourt will cater for South South, South Eastern part of the country.

It is essential to stress that during the vacation only extreme urgent cases, arrest of ship, Fundamental right cases are to be entertained.

Legal ceremonies – The 2018/2019 Federal High Court legal year annual Judges Conference will hold from 17th September -20th September 2018.
