FCT Polls Exposed Politicians Who Buy Roadside Corn to Deceive Voters, Says Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, says the recent area council elections have exposed politicians who rely on deceptive campaign tactics.

Wike made this known during a special broadcast after the elections. The ruling All Progressives Congress won chairmanship seats in five out of the six area councils in Abuja.

The minister stated that the election results prove that Nigerians can now identify the real opposition.

He specifically criticized politicians who randomly buy roasted corn and groundnuts from roadside sellers just to trick voters into supporting them.

Wike praised residents of the capital city for rejecting people he described as emergency democrats.

He pointed out that these critics have deliberately chosen to ignore the good things happening in the country.
