Fayose backs Obasanjo, says Buhari has failed Nigeria

Former governor of Ekiti state, Peter Ayodele Fayose, has thrown his weight behind ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo over his recent comment that Nigeria is becoming a failed state under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.
The controversial politician said this on Saturday night, September 12, during an Instagram live chat with respected journalist, Dele Momodu.
Fayose noted that though he usually does not see eye to eye with Obasanjo on national issues, the former president had made very valid comments on the reality of the Nigerian situation under the APC led government.
Fayose cited the rising tide of insecurity as well as the country’s increasing indebtedness and surmised that the APC government in 5 years has performed far worse than the PDP in 16 years.

He said: “Of all the Presidents, I don’t like Obasanjo ways, I tell you the truth; I don’t like his ways at all. Me and him we are not on the same page but Obasanjo is the only one-time Nigerian President that has helped this country here and there. “That was why what Obasanjo said today (Saturday), in a way, I agree with him. We don’t normally agree but I agree with him.”
“This APC in five years is dastardly, more terrible than the PDP in 16 years”.
The former governor also said that Nigeria will not progress until the electoral process is reformed.
