Taraba State Governor and Governor-elect in the just concluded Governorship election in Taraba State, Darius Dickson Ishaku has asked the people of the State to be at alert saying fake armed soldiers are planning to attack the State in four days time.
Ishaku, who spoke through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Bala Dan Abu explained that the fake Soldiers were on a mission to kill innocent people in the State.
“They are on a serious mission to kill, these are fake Soldiers who were smuggled into the State to waste the lives of innocent people” he said.
While calling on the people of the State to watch out for the fake Soldiers,
Darius Ishaku further called on the attention of Security Agencies to be proactive against the activities of the fake Soldiers.
Similarly, the Taraba State Government has accused the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the just concluded Governorship election in the State, Alh. Sani Abubakar Danladi as the brain behind the crisis that erupted Jalingo, the State Capital since the declaration of Governor Ishaku as the Governor-elect of the election.
The State Commissioner of Information and Culture, Rt. Hon. Simon Dogara who said that several lives lives were lost, stated this Friday, during a Press Conference in Jalingo.
He said miscreants suspected to be APC Youths embarked on attacking people who came out in their numbers to celebrate the PDP’s victory.
The Commissioner disclosed that the most dangerous dimension to the ugly incidence was the religious colour the Crisis was turned into.
Referring to the APC Governorship Candidate in the State, Alh. Sani Abubakar Danladi, Dogara said,
“It is disheartening that a man who is aspiring to a high position of leadership of the State will resort to religious bigotry to achieve his ambition”.
While thanking the larger section of the people for refusing to cooperate with him to cause more tension and damage to lives and properties, Simon Dogara informed that peace has gradually returned to Jalingo.
He maintained that Governor Ishaku has appreciated the contributions of all the good people of the State in achieving peace.
According to him, the Governor would ensure that all law abiding people will be protected in order to go about their lawful activities without molestation.
