FAAN Commences Interview of Job Applicants

The General Manager, Corporate Services of FAAN, Yakubu Dati said that the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has commenced the interview exercise for successful candidates who just concluded the online recruitment aptitude test. He disclosed that successful applicants have begun accreditation at the various interview locations in Abuja, Lagos, Enugu.
A total of 73 applicants applied for the position of Data Management Officer and they have been interviewed in Lagos on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. The interview was coordinated by Human Resources officials from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria and representatives from the consulting firm in charge of the recruitment. These panelist were divided into 3 groups to cater for successful candidates to be interviewed.
Dati stated that, “a fitness test is also being conducted for those coming in to the Aviation Security and Fire Service Department to ascertain how fit they are and their present health condition to avoid any casualty. A larger number of successful applicants are expected at the Customs Training School in Ikeja where the interview exercise is taking place”.
Dati stressed that, “the authority wishes to reiterate that contrary to rumoured impression that the recruitment is a hoax, the current recruitment exercise is being done in an organised and transparent manner. All successful applicants have been selected on merit based on stipulated criteria for this recruitment.
“We also wish to apologise to all applicants who may have experienced hitches while applying or taking their tests on-line due to the huge traffic on the application site”, he said.
