Expert Tasks Ajimobi On Tourism

A tourism expert, comrade Wale Ojo Lanre has set an agenda that will enhance tourism development in Oyo state for Governor Abiola Ajimobi

Ojo who spoke with our correspondent in Ibadan said, the government can generate huge revenue from tourism if all the potentials are fully developed and maintained for economical purposes

Ojo who is also the Associate Editor of Nigeria Tribune newspaper added that, “ Oyo state is blessed with lot of tourism potentials ranging from historical sites and monument, eco-tourism and many wonderful sites that can attracts tourists all over the world to the state if well packaged “

“ I think to do that is simple, the best method is for the government to compel all the local government to develop at least one tourism site in their domain, it is very hard to see a council in this state where you don’t have any attraction, and if this can be achieved there will be a rapid transformation in the sector in the state “

He however urge the governor to concentrate more on promoting domestic tourism and ensure local patronage of all the sites by students of secondary and primary schools across the state “ if all the sites are developed, there should be a policy that will mandate all the primary and secondary school in the state to visit at least a site in a term this will make the place functional and enhance development of others
