Excel in health care delivery, community devt. Gov Lalong task corps members

We take seriously our obligation to create opportunity for a better health care for all to live healthy and productive, therefore we urge you to contribute your own quota in health care delivery and community development, say Governor Simon Lalong.

Lalong who spoke through his deputy, Prof. Sonni Tyoden, also said embarking on health care delivery by corps members will also help in creating employment, improving educational opportunities, building accountability in the health system and providing health care services that are acceptable, accessible and affordable to all.

Speaking at the close of the 2017 Batch “B” Stream 2, Orientation Exercise, held in Mangu National Youth Service Corps Camp in Plateau State on Monday, the Governor also reassured the NYSC members of their safety and productive stay in the State, adding that the security and well being of the corps members is of utmost priority to government and government is working in synergy with other security agencies to ensure that they are adequately secured, charging them to go about their respective lawful duties without entertaining any fear.

‎However, the Plateau NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs Funmilayo Akin-Moses, commended the corps members for exhibiting a high sense of courage, discipline, patriotism and exemplary conduct during the orientation programme despite the regimented nature of the orientation course.

She urged them to bring to bear the needed positive change as exemplified by the predecessors in their host communities.

She also reiterated that irrespective of where they are posted to in the state, their security and general well-being is considered top most priority.
