Ex-Taraba Acting Governor, Alhaji Garba Umar Celebrates

Former Acting Governor and chieftain of the All Progressive Congress APC, Alhaji Garba Umar is an epitome of good governance.

The man who implemented 18,000 minimum wages for local government workers and paid backlogs of pension arrears during his tenure as the acting governor of Taraba State is in a joyous mood at the moment as he celebrated his 70th birthday amidst friends, family and well wishers.

Umar is an apostle of peaceful coexistence, whose influence cut across ethnic and religious groups due to his contribution to development of Taraba state. His good gesture towards workers in the state recently earned him an award of excellence from RATTWU.
Umar has been described as a political colossus whose contribution to the state is immeasurable.
