Ex-President Shagari Sues for Peaceful Elections
Former President Shehu Aliyu Usman Shagari, on Monday, appealed to Nigerians to maintain peace in the country.
Addressing a press conference at his Sama Road residence in Sokoto, apparently to dispel rumour making the rounds that he was dead, Shagari urged Nigerians to continue to give peace a chance, especially during this election period.
“I thank you heartily for your visit. Let me use this opportunity to appeal to you, and through you to all Nigerians, to continue to give peace a chance, especially during this election period,” he said.
