Ex-Football Professionals commiserate with late dep Gov’s family, Diri, Bayelsans
Former Football Professionals in Bayelsa State have commiserated with the family of the late Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Ph. D, describing the sudden death of the State Deputy Governor as shocking and sad.
The former Football Professionals under the aegis of the All Stars Internationals of Yenagoa, led by the Chairman of Board of Trustee, Dr. Peter Singabele and State Chairman, Ebimieowei Noel Zuzu,described the late Deputy Governor as a calm and composed patron of the association.
Dr. Peter Singabele, while addressing the members of the Ewhrudjakpo led by the Former Permanent Secetary, Dr. Christopher Ewhrudjakpo, said the demise of the deputy Governor is a sad one ” today is a sad day but we felt we should pay a visit to the family and pray for the fortitude to bear the great loss.”
Singabele described the All Stars International as a family of former active football players drawn from those who played and retired from the game.Our membership are drawn from all works of life “
He described the late Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, Ph.D as the Patron and the Governor, Sen. Douye Diri as Grand Patron, ” they are not just supporting us through mere words but by action and love”
” The Deputy Governor played football with us sometimes and had assisted in several ways. We are here to condole with the family and all we can do is to offer prayers for the repose of his soul.”
The Chairman of Board of Trustee, Dr. Peter Singabele and State Chairman, Ebimieowei Noel Zuzu later moved to sign the condolence register and Bishop Peter Leghemo offered prayer for the family.
On the entourage of the All Stars International, Yenagoa include the BOT Secetary, Dr. James Omietimi, Vice Chairman, Ebimieowei Inlagha, Secetary, Chief Tari Emberru, Provost, Elder Perela Aborasri. Treasurer, Dr. David Sese, Elder Preye Wariowei, Francis Epe and Bishop Peter Leghemo.
The spokesman of the Ewhrudjakpo family, Dereke Ediruo expressed appreciation to members of the All Stars International,Yenagoa and commended the members of the group for the visit and gift items to the family.
