Etsu Nupe turbans 3 subjects, charges them to be good ambassadors

Etsu Nupe and chairman, Niger state council of traditional rulers, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, has turbaned three indigenes of the state charging them to be good ambassadors wherever they are.

The monarch who stated this at Wadata palace at the weekend said that the recipients were conferred with various traditional titles based on merit and on their eminent contributions to the Nation and the state in particular.

He pointed out that everybody is aware of the contribution made by the commandant general of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abdullahi Jimada Mohammed, in facilitating the recruitment of many Niger indigenes into the force, as well as the state project coordinator and Hajiya Soniyan, for the role they have been playing by empowering farmers in rice production, particularly, women.

He then urged them to continue with their work that earned them these biggest traditional titles his kingdom.

He prayed Allah to bless the titles given to them also to give them strength and wisdom to do more, calling on others to emulate them.

Responding on behalf of other recipients, the state project coordinator, Fadama coordinating office, Engr. Aliyu Usman Kutigi (The Sarkin Noman Fadama Nupe) which is a new title and first of its kind in Nupe land, thanked the Etsu Nupe for the honour done to them and promised that they would do more.

Among those that were turbaned are; Abdullahi Jimada Gana Mohammed, the Commandant General, NSCDC, as Sarkin Yakin Nupe. Engr. Aliyu Usman Kutigi as Sarkin Noman FADAMA Nupe, and Hajiya Aishetu Soniyan Mohammed, PPP officer, Fadama, Niger state, as Sarauniyar Noman FADAMA Nupe
