Etisalat celebrates channel partners, identifies growth chances

Etisalat Nigeria has shown its commitment to promoting mutually rewarding business relationships by celebrating its partners at its annual Channel Partners Conference and Celebratory Dinner, which was held recently in Lagos.
The annual Channel Partners Conference and Celebratory Dinner was a platform for top officials of Etisalat Nigeria and the channel partners in the country to review the performance of the business in 2016; map-out the targets for 2017 and identify growth opportunities.
Mr Matthew Willsher, chief executive officer, Etisalat Nigeria, in his address, said Etisalat regards its channel partners as critical stakeholders and a vital part of its success story, adding that “the channel Partner Conference is meant to strengthen the bond between Etisalat Nigeria and its channel partners, share business insights and celebrate the successes of the past year”.
Mr Ken Ogujiofor, vice president, Channel Sales and Service, explained that the essence of the annual conference, which is usually held in the first quarter of the year, was to ensure that the channel partners align with the company’s vision to consistently bring value to its customers through innovation and excellent service.
Ogujiofor said further that “though 2016 was more challenging than we envisaged, we were able to pull through with our innovative products and services and the collaboration we have with our partners”.
Samson Isa, a virtual airtime distributor with Etisalat for over five years lauded the effort of the telco.
“We thank Etisalat for this annual conference. It is a very interesting conference that avails us the opportunity to align business strategies for more profit in coming years after reviewing the performance of the previous year.
“Though 2016 was challenging, but out of every challenging period, there are opportunities, we appreciate Etisalat for their support; we experienced growth in the virtual airtime distribution business in 2016 even with the current economic situation”.
