Eterna Oil introduces new product, set to grow economy
The management of Eterna oil has assured motorists in Nigeria that the Castol oil lubricants, recently produced and launched in the Nigeria market will give vehicles superior protection and reduced downtime.
The Managing Director of Eterna PLc, Mahmud Tukur, who disclosed this, said the company has secured the license to blend and distribute Castrol automobile and industrial oil, at its facility in Sagamu, Ogun State; while toll blending, distribution and selling would create job opportunities for Nigerians.
He said,“We are also encouraging small entrepreneurs to set-up kiosks selling lubricants. We will also be training mechanics to enhance their skills and deliver better service to their customers.”
According to Tukur, “Our plant in Sagamu has an installed capacity of 15,000MT per 8 hour shift, if we run a 24hour operations we can easily achieve 45,000Mt.
Coupled with the on-going investments of over $4Million in the next few years on facility upgrades and introduction of global best practices our plant and laboratory would become the best in the sub region and relevant for years to come.”
“In 2015, Castrol and Eterna commenced discussions on the inclusion of the Automotive and Industrial range of Lubricants as part of an extended offer to the Nigerian market.
Now in 2017, Eterna is the authorized distributor of all Castrol Lubricants grades in Nigeria across Automotive, Industrial, Marine and Energy.”
He further stressed that Castrol believes in finding opportunities to collaborate and build partnerships in countries to achieve success.

However, some of the Castrol products launched into the market include Castrol Edge- fully synthetic oil with fluid strength technology. Castrol Magnatec- semi-synthetic oil instant protection from the start; and Castrol GTX Essential-trusted protection.
