Pandemonium erupted in Oguta community in Onitsha in Anambra State when rampaging members of Eastern Security Network ESN, the armed wing of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), stormed the family residence of Akidi Chinedu Christian, the fleeing Youth President, where terror of unimaginable magnitude was unleashed in the community on March 20th 2024.
The Eastern Security Network in recent years in Southern-eastern Nigeria is largely responsible for the wanton loss of lives of many youths, women and children as the gun-wielding groups have reportedly engaged and confronted the Nigerian army in unending gun-battle in the region in their endless quest for the actualization of the sovereign state of BIAFRA.
The rampaging members of ESN, it was said, fired sporadic gunshots into the atmosphere as the gun-wielding group marched towards the family residence of Akidi Chinedu Christian where they ransacked the entire apartment for his family members
Our correspondent gathered that the recent attack by the rampaging ESN members was unfortunately premised on the fact that the fleeing Youth President of the community had secretly returned into the country.
Youths, children including able-bodied men were forcefully conscripted into the armed group to form a formidable front against the Nigerian army in the endless struggle for the emacipation of South-eastern region as the fleeing Akidi Chinedu Chinedu was however compelled to abandon his family after he outrightly turned down the request by the group to bolster the membership of the group by using his position as popular community youth leader to recruit more willing youths into its base, it was gathered.
It was gathered that he was unwilling and unable to meet the compromising demands of the rebellious group as he was said to have considered the illegal activities of the rebellious group as unconstitutional and treasonable.
In 2019, the media was awash with reports of over 10,000 decomposing corpses of youths,men and children discovered in different forests across the South-eastern region after a raging gun-battle involving ESN and the Nigerian army in the region.
The ESN as a terror network in Nigeria are said to have affiliate groups across the country secretly working for the actualization of the sovereign state of Biafra, it was confirmed.
In a recent unscheduled visit to Oguta community in Onitsha in Anambra State, where fleeing president and others youths had been living before the attack was ever peaceful community had also reportedly fled to an unknown location for refuge.
