Epe kidanp: Army, other security agencies working to secure their release – Major-General Oyefolu

The outgoing General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 81 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General Ebenezer Oyefolu, has disclosed that security agencies in Lagos are on top of their game in order to secure the release of the kidnapped Epe School children.
Major-General Oyefolu who made the disclosure during his hand over ceremony to his successor, Major-General Peter Dauke at the 81 Division headquarter in Lagos on a Monday said, “we thank God that we are on top of the situation and I pray that the kidnapped children will be freed hail and halty The Army, The Police and Other Security Agencies are working to ensure the children are freed.”
Oyefolu who is to resume at The Nigerian Army Training Command Katangora as the Commandant expressed gratitude to officers of the Division for their many support in his over six months stay at the Division.
According to Him, since his posting as the GOC of 81 Division, it has been a period of learning all the way as all Commanders, officers and the soldiers generally have made it a fulfilling experience.
He said, ” it has been an interesting time working with Commanders, section officers of all units and schools. Although it was short, it was short and fulfilling. Since November 2016 up till this moment, it has been a period of learning, capacity building and I’m really humbled. Even as I leave 81 Division, I leave with a sense of fulfilment and satisfaction. I want to say that the Division will always remain indelible in my heart.
” I special want to thank the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai for the opportunity and support to serve as the 81 Division GOC. I also appreciate the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, President Muhammadu Buhari who gave the directive to make me the GOC and I pray for his speedy recovery. ”
He also called on the Commanders and officers to support the incoming GOC I’m order to break new grounds.
He said, “like I will always say, every Task you are given is an opportunity to shine. I therefore urge you all to give my successor the same level of support you gave me. I I wish him a successful journey, God’s guidance, Good health and abundant blessings.”
On his part, the new GOC, Major-General Dauke called for the support and cooperation of all as he takes over the mantle of leadership of the Division.
While wishing his predecessor success as he goes to take up his new responsibility in Katangora, Dauke admonished officers to join hands with him to proceed from where his predecessor stopped.
Duake is said to have many qualifications such as a B.Sc in Psychology from the University of Ibadan, a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Studies, Masters of Strategic and Development Studies from Bangladesh University of professionals, management courses at the Administrative staff College of Nigeria, certifications from the International Institute of Humanitarian law in Italy amongst certifications.
Until his appointment, he was the GOC of 3 Division of the Nigerian Army Jos. He has several awards to his credit one of which is the Ambassador of Psychology in the Nigerian Army conferred on him by the University of Ibadan.
