Enyimba Prevent Sokari from Joining Flying Eagles

Enyimba midfielder Kingsley Sokari will not join the Nigeria U-20s training camp before Friday due to club commitments with the Nigeria Professional Football League vice-champions.

Flying Eagles coach, Manu Garba, has named the playmaker in his 35-man provisional squad as his team continues fine-tuning their strategies in Abuja before the tournament in New Zealand.

Enyimba chiefs are aware that their midfield maestro could be missing for up to two months if the Nigeria U-20s qualifies for the knock-out rounds, and have decided to make use of his services one last time before releasing him to the national team.

”I am now in Taraba with Enyimba, we have a match against Taraba United today,” Sokari said.

”I will be in the Flying Eagles camp on Friday. We are coming back from Taraba on Thursday and I’ll have to return to Aba to pack my belongings before heading to camp.

”I have been in touch with Coach Manu Garba, and he said I should come to camp immediately.

”I think Enyimba will get in touch with the U-20 coaching staff to inform them of the development.”

The 19-year-old Sokari has caps for Nigeria’s senior team and the Dream Team VI.
