Enugu Gets 13 New Permanent Secretaries

Gov. Sullivan Chime of Enugu State, on Thursday appointed 13 new permanent secretaries to pilot the affairs of the state civil service.

Swearing in the newly appointed officials in Enugu, Chime described their appointment as a call to service to the state and humanity in general.

Chime, represented by his deputy, Rev. Ralph Nwoye, said his administration had zero tolerance for corruption and urged the new appointees to use their wealth of experience to move the state civil service forward.

“This appointment is for you to add value to this administration and the incoming one. You must ensure smooth running of the civil service to enable the government succeed,” he said.

Speaking on behalf of her colleagues, Mrs May Anayo-Enechukwu, said that she and the other permanent secretaries were committed that the civil service under the incumbent and incoming administration would run smoothly.
