Taylor Swift Named ‘World’S Greatest Female Leader’

If you were considering the worlds’ greatest female leader, would Taylor Swift come to your mind? No right? Well, not for fortune.com. According to them;

“Taylor Swift didn’t become the highest-paid woman in the music business by accident. Pop’s savviest star has crossed swords with Spotify, embraced corporate sponsorship, and moved to secure dozens of trademarks (including phrases like ‘This sick beat’)—plus she has proved shrewder at honing a brand in the social media age than virtually any other person or company. And she’s done it without resorting to dumbed-down salacious gimmickry.”

Not everybody especially Twitter users agreed that Taylor Swift is such a powerful “leader.” After lots of backlash, Fortune stood by their decision in Taylor Swift‘s honor in a new article;

“But while haters gonna hate (hate, hate, hate, hate), the case for Swift is actually pretty impressive. Sure, we all know she can write hooks, and that she plays a mean guitar. But don’t gloss over the fact that she’s also the highest-paid woman in the music industry.”

Let’s hope Taylor Swift is celebrating her new honor with Calvin Harris. According to TMZ,Taylor and Calvin are a couple.

“Taylor and the famous DJ were coming out of Whole Foods Wednesday night — wearing matching shirts no less — when 2 people snapped the pics. This isn’t the first time they’ve been together recently. Taylor went to Calvin’s concert in Vegas earlier this month. There were reports he chartered a jet to fly her to the gig. They got all flirty at the Brit Awards after-party in London back in February. Shopping for food together… hmmm.”

Taylor Swift is having an amazing year. Not only did her album 1989 top the charts for several weeks, but her singles, “Shake It Off” and “Blank Space,” have both topped Billboard’s Hot 100. Even though her new single, “Style,” hasn’t hit number one, it is still a decent hit. Taylor Swift is certainly the Princess of Pop, but will she overtake Madonna as the Queen of Pop someday? Well, she certainly was ahead of Madonna in the “Artist 100″ chart last week.
