Enrique Pleased with Getafe Thrashing

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique is pleased with his team’s emphatic win against Getafe at the Camp Nou, saying that his team’s performance gives him confidence for the remainder of the campaign.

The Catalan giants thrashed Getafe 6-0 with a brace each from Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. Xavi Hernandez and Neymar completed the scoreline to provisionally put Barcelona five points ahead of second placed Real Madrid.

Enrique’s men were very efficient in front of goal and raced into a 5-0 lead by the 40th minute of the match. The Austrian is pleased with his team’s effectiveness and feels that it would have been difficult to keep Barcelona at bay for any team.

“When the team has that level of effectiveness it makes it very difficult for any team”, he was quoted as saying.

“It was a difficult game but we managed to put it to bed in the first half.”
