Election Tribunal Receives 19 Petitions in Gombe

The Governorship and Legislative Houses of Assembly Election Petition Tribunal has received 19 petitions in Gombe State.

The tribunal Secretary, Alhaji Bello Doro-Abdullahi, disclosed this when he spoke with newsmen in Gombe on Tuesday, NAN reports.

He said two of the petitions were for governorship, 10 for National Assembly while seven were for the House of Assembly elections.

According to him, the tribunal has served all respondents, closed receipt of petitions and was receiving replies to the petitions.

Doro-Abdullahi further said the tribunal had taken some motions and granted orders on inspection of electoral materials and substituted service to some respondents.

He appealed to the people of the state to ensure peace for the tribunal to discharge its responsibilities in the state
