Eid El-fitr: Sule charges Nasarawa residents to embrace peace

As Muslims celebrate Eid El-fitr, globally, the Nasarawa state Governor, Abdullahi Sule on Sunday, tasked Muslims to co-exist peacefully with one another irrespective of religious and tribal affiliation.

Governor Sule, stated this shortly after observing his Sallah prayer at Gudi, Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.
According to him, peace is the panacea for any meaningful development, hence the need to embrace it to achieve meaningful development, adding that Ramadan coincided with the period the state and the country was fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
Governor Sule explained that the essence of the Ramadan teaching is to see that everybody becomes a good person and be faithful, hence the need to extend same to neighbors.

He further used the opportunity to call on residents to support security operatives in the state in tackling security challenges by giving useful information about criminal elements in the state.
He said their support was necessary considering the increasing cases of kidnapping, banditry and all sorts of criminality in the state.
