Edo Central APC senatorial candidate insists on direct primary
A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Edo State, Chief Francis Inegbeniki, yesterday urged the leadership of the party to adopt the proposed direct primary which would throw up popular candidates.
The Edo born politician who is aspiring for the Edo Central Senatorial District, while declaring his intention to run, spoke with newsmen in Benin City, Edo state, and dismissed the assertion that Edo Central is the strong hold of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.
Edo Central is the political stronghold of the senatorial district of former Board of Trustee, Chairman of the PDP, Chief Tony Anenih.
