Edo 2020: Victory is certain- Sanwo-Olu
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has become the latest politician to weigh in on the highly contentious Edo Gubernatorial election scheduled to hold on the 19th of September.
Weighing in through his official Twitter handle, Governor Sanwo-Olu hailed the united front held by the party (APC), predicting that should such concerted efforts continue, victory for the All Progressives Congress is certain.

“Yesterday, I attended the official flag off of our party’s campaign rally for the Governorship election in Edo State. Our candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has the overwhelming support of the leadership of the party, party members in Edo and APC Governors”
“We are confident that with hardwork, the commitment of supporters and the abiding desire of the people of Edo to sustain the progressive politics and programmes which are hallmarks of our great party, victory is certain in the election” Sanwo-Olu tweeted.
The Edo Gubernatorial election has taken centre stage within the country’s political space in recent months, with attacks and counter attacks coming from the All Progressives Congress and the People’s Democratic Party.
Daily Times had earlier reported that President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, official handed over the party’s flag to the party’s candidate for the polls, Pastor Ize Iyamu, endorsing him as the party’s flagbearer.
