Ebonyi police, community declare man wanted for ‘bisexual activities’

The people of Akaeze community in Ivo Local Government Area Ebonyi State, Nigeria and the police have launched a joint manhunt for one Austine Chinedu Okorie, said to be a bisexual.
It was gathered that the suspect who is known openly to be involved in homosexual practise was recently arrested by the Nigeria police at a wedding event with his partner, where he was remanded in prison, and was later granted bail.

However the suspect was to stand trial for been a biasexual, but he jumped the court bail . LGBT is illegal in Nigeria and it’s punishable up to 14 years imprisonment. It’s also a taboo in most Nigeria communities.
“We are pleading with citizens not to hesitate to come up to the police to make a formal report if they have any knowledge of the whereabouts of the said suspect,” the police said.
Also, the community’s leader have banned him from entering the community for committing a taboo.
“What he did is an atrocities that is punishable by death; he should not step his feet here again,” the head of the community’s leader Sunday Nwani said.
