Ebonyi NLC, TUC to resume suspended strike
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress
(TUC) and Joint
Public Service Negotiating Council(JPSNC), in Ebonyi Stat
e, otherwise known as
Organised Labour, have stated their preparedness to resume t
he suspended strike
they embarked to press home their demand for the implementa
tion of the full
Minimum Wage Salary Structure and payment of September 2011
salary by the
state government.
The factional Chairman of the NLC, Comrade Ikechukwu N
wafor, regretted that
the government had renegued in the agreement over the pa
yment of the September
2011 salary, which was part of the agitation by the Organized
Labour.
He said the government had not demonstrated strong faith in
the payment of March
2015 salary to all workers, adding that the resolve to resume th
e strike was in line
with the agreement reached with the government when it
was suspended.
