Ebonyi State chapter of Labour Party (LP), has disclosed its intention to challenge in court the outcome of the National Assembly, governorship, and House of Assembly elections held in the state on ground of rigging, falsification and highscale killings that trailed the exercise.
The chairman of the party, Comrade Sebastian Obiya, stated, on Thursday, that it had reviewed all that went on during the elections and came to the conclusion that as a law-abiding political party, it would challenge the outcome of the elections in court. “We have reviewed all that went on during the elections and come to the conclusion that we, as a law-abiding political party, focused on probity and credible election must challenge the outcome of the March 28 and April 11, 2015 elections in court,” the party said.
