Ebonyi expresses worries over vandalisation govt facilities

Following continued vandalisation of Ebonyi state government facilities by hoodlums and vandals, the State government yesterday appealed to the Federal government to immediately mobilise more armed officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to its project sites to protect materials from being carted away by the hoodlums.

The Senior Special Assistant to Governor David Umahi on Infrastructure Maintenance, Chief Ali Odefa made the call when he led management of Ebonyi Road Maintenance Agency (EBOROMA) to a courtesy call on the state Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,(NSCDC), Mrs. Chinwe Kanu in Abakaliki.

He noted that mobilising adequate armed men of the corps would safeguard public facilities in the state.
