Earthquake rattles Nicaragua, no damage reported so far

The U.S. Geological Survey on Friday, reported a 6.1-magnitude earthquake registering and several aftershocks struck north-western Nicaragua.
The epicentre of the quake, which struck on Thursday local time, was 17 kilometres east of the village of Puerto Marazan.
It said that four weaker aftershocks struck the same region a short time later.

The Nicaraguan government has so far made no reports about damage or injuries.

However, Nicaraguan first lady Rosalio Murillo said the quake felt very strong and unusual and was felt in almost all the country.

According to media reports, the shocks were also felt in neighbouring El Salvado and Honduras.
