Shoot out in Umuahia despite Ikpeazu’s announcement

There is an ongoing shoot-out in Umuahia despite the earlier announcement of an agreement to withdraw troops from the Abia state capital.

Update: Helicopter gunships have been deployed over Umuahia.

Update 2: A source on the ground at the Afara, Umuahia has confirmed that the shooting is happening close to the compound of Nnamdi Kanu. “It appears to be a final attempt to grab him before they withdraw tomorrow.”

Update 3: Shooting has died down. Multiple IPOB sources claim that Nnamdi Kanu’s father has been arrested by the military. We have no independent confirmation of this, but the story has gained ground around Umuahia. The military is refusing requests for confirmation or denial.
