Robbers kill DPO in Ogun
A gang of armed robbers shot the Divisional Police Officer of Ogbere Police Station in Ogun State, Akingbade Adeyinka, dead overnight. The police officer had led a team to apprehend the suspects at a hotel located in Itele town along Sagamu-Benin Expressway, when the robbers opened fire. The robbers were said to have lodged in the hotel, in preparation to carry out operations in the area. The police acting on a tip-off stormed the hotel to arrest the suspects.
