Dr. Oso’s journey began with a medical degree from the University of Ibadan, where he gained hands-on experience in healthcare service delivery. However, his passion for large-scale impact led him to pivot into finance, earning an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management. As the Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of the Nigeria Healthcare Development Fund (NHDF), Dr. Oso has been instrumental in establishing a N100 billion private equity fund dedicated to healthcare investments in West Africa. Under his leadership, the fund secured an initial N7.5 billion in 2021 and continues to attract institutional investors seeking to drive healthcare innovation and infrastructure development.

In his role as a Portfolio Manager at Actis LLC, Dr. Oso manages investments across multiple African jurisdictions, overseeing healthcare, IT, real estate, and financial services. His strategic vision has led to several high-impact deals, including a $60 million investment in a Nigerian hospital group and the $1 billion Abraaj Growth Markets Health Fund, which he helped conceptualize to address healthcare gaps across emerging markets.
