Different Views on Buhari’S Victory

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) factional governorship candidate in Abia State Chief Reagan Ufomba, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chairman in the state have differed on the outcome of the presidential and National Assembly election results in which Mohammadu Buhari won.
Even though Ufomba contended that he directed his supporters to vote the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Mohammadu Buhari in the March 28 elections, the PDP government was built on deception chairman of the PDP in the state, Senator Emma Nwaka described the election as one with two different rules, pointing out that a situation where some people took advantage of the second rule when the first had been completed by others was unacceptable. He said the card reader was a disaster.
Fielding questions from journalists at separate interactions on the outcome of the election, Chief Ufomba, said a situation where the country is reported to be the largest economy in Africa without the reflection on the standard of living of the people was deceptive. He argued that a strong economy would not have the currency so devalued to the present all time high.
Furthermore, Ufomba maintained that the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, lied to the nation that Nigeria was a net exporter of cement. He wondered where the country which sells cement at between N1800 to N2000 would export and at what price.
He said that Buhari would do well if he fought corruption, restore the value of the naira and secure the country Nigeria would be better for it.
He explained that his faction of APGA never supported President Jonathan because of the bad state of the economy and the security situation in the country.
The APGA candidate alleged that INEC staff especially the adhoc staff compromised the election with the active collaboration of the local government.
