Delta police arrest 35 year old man for raping 6 year old

The Police in Abraka, Delta state on New year Day arrested a 35 year old man identified as Johnson (surname withheld) for allegedly raping a six year old girl in his house at Umono street in Abraka community.

Reports said that the alleged rapist, a single father of three and a civil servant, was said to have committed the crime in the early hours of the New Year when celebration for the New Year was on. He allegedly lured the little girl into his house to watch a movie.

It was reliable gathered that the man lured the little girl into his inner room and forcefully had canal knowledge of her with a strict warning to her not to tell anybody about what had transpired or he would give her the beating of her life,

but luck however ran against the alleged rapist when the victim’s mother while bathing her in order to join her other siblings for new year visit, observed a liquid substance alleged to be semen and blood when washing her private part a situation she raised the alarm that attracted neighbours to the scene.

It was further learnt that the victim’s mother while shouting demanded to know how her daughter had the injury in her private part and in a quick response the little girl told the story of the alleged rapist who forcefully had canal knowledge with her.

Speaking to journalists the mother of the victim Mrs. Mabel Umukoro said “ I made straight to the man’s house for findings and he denied and I reported the matter immediately to the police in Abraka who arrested him on the spot.”

But police officers at the Abraka Police division who did not want their names in the print confirmed the incident and arrest of the suspect saying that the suspect was currently helping the police for further investigation.
