Delta Local Council polls: Cp Mohammed Ari, restricts vehicular movement

In view of the Delta State local government council elections scheduled for Saturday, March, 6th, 2021, the state commissioner of police, Mohammed Ari, has ordered the restriction of vehicular movements in the state from 12 am on Friday fifth March to 4 pm sixth March 2021.

This was contained in a press release signed by acting police public relations officer, DSP, Edafe Bright, and made available to AIT.

The release also noted that only those on essential services and the electorate with valid voter cards will be allowed movement during the restriction order.

While disclosing that over eight thousand security personnel have been deployed for the polls to ensure adequate security, the police command urges all stakeholders to conduct themselves peacefully before, during, and after the elections.
