Delta Community Leader Backs Okowa

Ahead of tomorrow’s gubernatorial and House of Assembly poll, prominent community leader in Delta State, Prof. Imeagwu Chukwumah Ijomah, has urged the people of the state to cast their votes for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as next governor of the state.

Prof. Ijomah made the appeal in Asaba at a stakeholders’ forum used to appraise the political situation especially as it affects Anioma people.

Adressing PDP faithful, Prof. Ijomah says, “We all agreed that the emergence of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa is a reflection of the aspiration of Anioma people. The clamour for Anioma identity and for a state of our own began in earnest in 1956. While we still hope to get the state, the election of Senator Okowa as the Governor of Delta State is the first step towards realizing that aspiration” he said.

Extolling the virtue of the governorship candidate, Ijomah said that Okowa towers above any other aspirant in qualifications and experience.

He maintained that Okowa’s election as governor would give all Deltans the personal commitment required for the development of the state.
