Falcons’ ex‑star Dede announced on Instagram on Sunday that she is expecting quadruplets, expressing overwhelming joy.
“After so many years of hoping, God blessed us in the most amazing way, Four little ones! Two boys, two girls… quadruple the joy,” she wrote, adding: “One pregnancy, four heartbeats… pure happiness. Delay is not denial. God turned our waiting into wonders. When He writes your story, it’s always beautiful. He didn’t just answer… He overdelivered.”
Dede, who retired in 2016, is one of Africa’s most celebrated female footballers. She earned over 90 caps for Nigeria and played in four FIFA Women’s World Cups, three Olympic Games, and four Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, winning the continental title twice.
At club level, Dede featured for Delta Queens, Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens, and had a stint in Norway with Arna-Bjørnar.
Fans have flooded her social media with congratulatory messages, celebrating both her incredible football career and this joyful personal milestone. Many say her story is proof that patience and faith can bring extraordinary blessings
