Daring female robbery and kidnapping gang arrested in Rivers State
The Rivers State Police Command on Monday gasped in surprise when they trailed a terror armed robbery and kidnapping gang to their hideout at Rumuolumeni, in Port Harcourt and found all three to be females!
The three female suspects now in police net gave their names in a statement as Queen Eze (27), Osorachi Onyemu (24) and Queen Godspower (22).
Items recovered from them include one A-47 rifle, four magazines, 120 rounds of 7.62 calibre live ammunition, one Toshiba laptop computer, a set of vehicle plate numbers, one generator and dried leaves suspected to be marijuana.
Displaying the recovered weapons and items at a parade before journalists, the Police Command said investigation has been stepped up to apprehend other members of the gang who are on the run.
The gang is said to have been terrorising the residents and motorists in some areas of the oil rich city over a period, but little did the police suspect the robbers actually are young women.
