Dana, Medview commence Kaduna operations

Dana Air, operator of Imo Air has announced that it will commence flights to Kaduna on March 8, 2017, following the imminent closure of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport for rehabilitation.
The airline said it will operate four daily flights from Lagos to Kaduna at 7.02am, 10.53, 13.23pm and 18.25pm, while there will be one flight each from Uyo.
The Accountable Manager of Dana Air, Mr Obi Mbanuzuo while speaking on the new schedule said ‘we will commence four daily flights from Lagos to Kaduna and one flight each from Uyo and Port Harcourt to Kaduna on 8 March, and we intend keeping to our scheduled time of departure. From Kaduna to Lagos, our new schedule caters to the needs of all our passengers with flights at 9.09am, 11.07am, 12.51pm and 20.20pm.’’
Commenting further, Obi said ‘with our on-time performance still unrivaled, our desire is to ensure that passengers connecting Abuja from Kaduna meet their appointments and commitments, while those visiting Kaduna can trust us to take them there on-time.’’
He urged passengers to take advantage of the airlines’ low fares and newly introduced Self Service kiosk at MMA2, which enables its passengers to book Dana Air tickets quickly and conveniently without having to queue or wait for too long.
Only recently, Dana Air having flown a record 4.5 million passengers in the last eight years of its operation, entered into an airline partnership with the Imo State Government to boost tourism, business activities and employment opportunities in the state.
Meanwhile, Medview Airline has announced a special schedule with five daily flights from Lagos to Kaduna International Airport.
The flight schedule will be operational on March 8, 2017, a day after the Abuja Airport has been closed.
With the schedule, all Medview Airline flights to Maiduguri and Yola will be routed through Kaduna airport, but their departure and arrival time remain unchanged as well as flights originating from Lagos
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the airline, Alhaji Muneer Bankole said the schedule was a proactive measure taken to ensure that all its numerous passengers going to Maiduguri and Yola have a seamless transition to their various destinations, while flying Abuja-bound passengers to Kaduna.
He said the airline has put in place all the necessary logistics to cope with the traffic expected in Kaduna International Airport.
“This is a call to duty, and we are equally duty bound to render uninterrupted services to air travellers on all our routes”, Alhaji Bankole said.
