Dailytimes Exclusive: Singer, Lamboginny releases debut album ‘SALT’ to Kirikiri prison inmates

In what seems to be unusual in the history of Nigerian entertainment industry, singer Lamboginny has broken even, as the first Nigerian act to officially launch his debut album tagged ‘SALT’ ( Saving All Lives Together ) to inmates of the medium prison, kirikiri, Lagos on Thursday Oct 12, 2017.

Despite the rain, all hope was not lost as the singer insisted that the show must go on.

Hosted by well celebrated hypeman Do2tun, the inmates had the reason to smile again as they relish in the music been played by world famous DJ JimmyJatt.

With well over 4,000 inmates, salt as he is now called thrilled members of the prison to a long lasting performances that will linger in their hearts.

On why he launched his album in the prison, Lamboginny disclosed exclusively to Dailytimes that alot of people do not that he once worked as an officer in the prison and as such he could connect to their pain and trials.

With this landmark achievement, Lamboginny is however calling on the government to look into prison deconjestion and also urged our judiciary to step up in the way they handle cases related to prisoners.

“For me, I don’t see the inmates as prisoners rather I see them as being in the awaiting room and one day, they will be free to unite with their respective families.”

He however advised the inmates that no hope is lost as the prison is not their last busstop.

Emotional moments of the event heightens when Lamboginny performed “Heal Me’ with some members of the prison choir.

Other major performance includes Small Doctor, Mz Kizz, Ozzybosco, Muna.

Present at the event includes 40th Miss Nigeria, Chioma Obiadi, Lolo 1 of Wazobia FM, Baba Dee, VJ Adams, Mtn project fame winner, Goffery to mention but few.
