As the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) set further revenue target in 2019, a total sum of N311.2 billion has been generated for the first quarter of 2019.
The Customs in a document released by the office of the Public Relations Officer of the service, Joseph Attah, over the weekend showed that the revenue was generated between January and March.
The federal government had set a revenue target of N887 billion for NCS in 2019.
However, the Comptroller-General of Customs, Hameed Ali had promised that the figure would be surpassed as the management had earlier set a higher target for the organisation.
The breakdown of the revenue generated during the period under review indicated that NCS got revenue of N116.5 billion in January, N84.9 billion in February, and N109.8 billion in March.
