Cross River State Police Command to deploy 8, 000 personnel for carnival

Commissioner of Police, Cross River State, Mr Jimoh Ozi-Obeh, has said that the command would deploy the entire police personnel estimated at 7, 500 – 8, 000  to the state during the Calabar Carnival period, Christmas and New Year celebrations in the state.

He explained that the personnel cut across the regular policemen, and mobile police.

Ozi-Obeh who was speaking with our correspondent in his office on Tuesday lamented the challenges experienced by the command such as  insufficient personnel and opertionl vehicles.

“As a federal government organizations, we have some challenges, challenges in the areas of logistics, personnels, vehicles, the few ones we have, we cannot maintain and fuel them,” he said.
