Crisis merchants ‘ll be dealt with – Plateau Military Commander

Those sponsoring and benefiting from criminality will be apprehended and made to face the wrath of the law, Commander Special Military Task Force in Plateau State, Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Ali has said.

Ali also urged community leaders to support the operation, by identifying criminals in their various communities and report them to the Taskforce.

The Army boss gave the charge Thursday, when he paid familiarization visit to Chairman Plateau State Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty Da Jacob Gyang Buba and religious leaders of Muslim and Christian Communities in Jos.

“We will ensure fairness and justice in our dealings with the security challenges: we call for your continuous prayers”, the General appeal to religious leaders.

He continued: “We urge community leaders to always be sincere in handling security matters and call on religious leaders to remind their congregations on the significance of peaceful coexistence with one another.

“Justice will be my guiding principles, I believe there can never be peace without justice. So I am going to be fair to everybody. That is why I am here to seek your prayers and blessings”, Ali said.

Responding, the Gbong Gwom Jos, Jacob Buba Gyang, laud the military taskforce for their sacrifices in ensuring that the State remain peaceful, assuring the Force of the royal blessings of all the traditional council in Jos.

“We cannot pretend to be ignorant of your sacrifices, you left your family far away and some time lose your lives to bring peace. We sincerely appreciate your efforts”, he said.
